It was nice to escape all the smoke in Carmel and make use of the familiar bright grey skies that always seem to loom over the ocean in Pacific Grove. I actually love portraits in a little bit of fog, because the lighting is always nice and no one has to squint into the sun! Despite being a little tired from all the work of caring for a two-month old, Diana and Vince were all smiles and Hailey was just beautiful in her cheerful pink ruffles! While Hailey was a little too young to sit and smile for the camera, I think she was enjoying herself as much as we were just to be taking in the beautiful coastline.
I am so excited to finally be able to share this session with you! You might recall that last month I ran a special Summer Contest. Those who subscribed to my blog and followed me on Instagram were entered into a drawing to win a free mini portrait session and complimentary canvas. The lucky contest winner was new mom Diana. So I met with her, her husband Vince, and their adorable daughter Hailey at Lover's Point in Pacific Grove.
