I am just in love with this sweet girl's 1 year portrait session. Since her parents had already done their own little cake smash for her, I didn't want to overload Shelby with chocolate and sugar! So I decided that the theme for this session should be balloons. We headed to a nearby park and set up my trusty-dusty rainbow-colored throw blanket (never leave home without it!) and got to work. Shelby was too adorable in all the little outfits that her mom had brought. I especially loved the soft pink sweater and her patriotic romper. I even made sure to get red, white and blue balloons to match! At first Shelby was shy and very unsure of Garrett (my dutiful assistant/husband) and I. She kept a very serious eye on us at all times! But when Mom brought out her favorite doll and we started playing music, Shelby just lit up and wanted to dance! I think my favorite moments were when Shelby puckered her whole face to give her dolly a kiss! |
